Blueprint overview
The Perform Blueprint is for teachers focused on improving their students' ability to perform in an ensemble. Students will analyze and interpret artistic work from a selected tradition, then refine their technique and convey meaning through performing in the style of that tradition. Compositions and arrangements can be provided by Culture Connect as necessary. This blueprint places students inside the performance tradition — learning not just to play the notes, but to understand what those notes mean within their cultural context. Artists guide students through the physical, expressive, and communicative dimensions of performance.
Format
Students must connect from the same physical space with their instruments. Advanced audio-visual processing technology is highly recommended for this blueprint.
Requirements
Minimum of 12 exchanges. In-person ensemble setup required.
